Dash has a lifetime
of experience in the world of music. His
Mother, Sandy, an ermine and pearls, sultry-voiced
songstress,
instilled the love and passion of music in Dash at a very early age.
With this
foundation of music from the family, Dash quickly found inspiration in
the
Motown, Soul, and Rock & Roll genres. His
early experiments with bands branched to performing
with Roy Head,
Johnny B. and the Bad Boys, The Quick and the infamous Mason Ruffner.
Dash and
The 12th of Never have also had the exciting privilege of
opening
fro Delbert McClinton.
Since the March 1999
pre-release
of four original songs, Dash and The 12th of Never have
experienced
an overwhelming response from audiences around venues in Houston and
Galveston
for the songs Bad Girl and Mean Mistreater.
Perhaps
these exciting results are due, in part, to the sample CD’s distributed
at the
South by Southwest Music Conference held in Austin Channel 13.
The 12th of
Never’s
success can also be credited to the exciting mix of soul, rock and funk
at all
the live shows. The infectious grooves always keep the crowds dancing
and
yelling for more. They can be found every weekend bringing down the
house at
the premiere live band clubs from North Houston to the beaches of
Galveston.
Even through their
busy club schedules, the band still loves to play for private bookings.
To top
off the nonstop shows, Dash and The 12th of Never
are
currently in the studio working on production of the latest CD, Tortured
Soul. The band’s ever-growing following is anxious for the
release
date, and more shows from one of the area’s most popular live bands.
