Pianist and vocalist Joyce Fields is a native Texan from the Dallas-Ft.Worth Metroplex whose lifetime love affair with Galveston resulted in her move to the island about five years ago. Prior to the move, Joyce entertained at finer hotels and supper clubs in the Metroplex area, and she continues that tradition in Galveston.

Classically trained at the New England Conservatory of Music in Boston, Joyce began her career performing with the Boston Symphony and the Boston Pops and appeared on the club circuit in New York before returning to her home state.

Galvestonians can hear her weekly at the famous Galvez Hotel’s Sunday brunch and at other island locations like the Yacht Club, the San Luis Resort and the Tremont House.

Joyce has worked with young performers at Ball High School, College of the Mainland and Broadway Bound (now the Strand School of Performing Arts) and served as musical director for shows such as Into the Woods, Godspell, Anything Goes, Li'l Abner and The Taffetas. In addition, she has filled the role of vocal coach and piano accompanist for a variety of productions.

Joyce has a varied repertoire of songs from classical to Broadway favorites, pop to jazz. She loves to offer a wide variety of styles so that everyone in the room will hear something they enjoy. Requests are always welcome.
