A perennial favorite on Galveston Island, Mike Kelly has performed with some of the biggest names in the business: James Taylor, Chuck Berry, Linda Ronstadt, and others too numerous to mention. A gifted singer, songwriter and musician, Mike was educated at the prestigious Julliard School in New York before embarking on a music career that has spanned multiple decades, venues and styles. He can play almost any instrument known to man, and his vocal presence has been compared to artists as diverse as Willie Nelson, James Taylor and Rod Stewart.

A typical Mike Kelly performance includes cover tunes from a wide variety of musical genres: blues, classic rock, easy listening, golden oldies, country and western, new age and reggae. Whether its rousing dance tunes or "Bach in the Bar" (a sudden, brief foray into Johann Sebastian in the middle of a wild rock-n-roll set), Mike gets the audience on its feet and leaves it laughing. A sample play list might include "Classical Gas," "Maggie Mae," "No Woman Know Time," "Lucille," "Proud Mary," "Cheeseburger in Paradise," "Wild Horses," "Up on The Roof" and "Blue Bayou," with breaks between numbers infused with Mike's humorous recollections of life on the road.

Mike and his wife Sally migrated to Galveston from the Florida Keys.
