Michael McCulloch


A favorite at Cocktails for almost two years, Michael McCulloch was born into a musical family.  His father was a Jazz. pianist; his mother a singer.

RickyMichael has performed with various acts across the U.S. for the past 22 years, performing as a session and live musician not only on piano and synthesizers, but also on vocals, bass, guitar, and percussion.  In addition to his piano shows, his band Switch is a favorite in the Houston Bay Area.  Switch also plays, on special occasions, in the Courtyard at Cocktails. 

Mike has adapted, orchestrated, and recorded music for several musical theater productions including Jesus Christ Superstar, Pippin, Nunsense, and Cabaret.

In 2002, Michael was a top 20 finalist in the Turner Classic Movies' Young Film Composers Competition, out of over 500 entries.  He was then a composer for a feature film for Artisan Entertainment. 

Mike is also performing  piano shows in the Houston-Galveston area.  He completed his first CD, "Black & White" and is finalizing another CD recorded during his performances at Cocktails.
